As I noted in my other post on Lindsay Lohan, "Taking Responsibility with the Cappy Solar Eclipse," the New Moon Solar Eclipse on Jan. 4 (which began this current lunation cycle) was conjunct her natal Sun in Capricorn.  The eclipse also coincided with Lohan's release from rehab.  A solar eclipse on someone's sun rings as a major wake-up call, and I remember wondering if that little eclipse push would be what she needed to start getting her life back in Capricornian order.  (View Lindsay's Natal Chart Here).

As we approach tomorrow's Full Moon in Cancer, the culminating point of this moon cycle, it appears that Lohan definitely has embraced stability and personal responsibility!  According to reports that have come out today, Lindsay is passing her drug tests with flying colors and she is leading a low-key life these days. That may not sound like a big deal, but for Lindsay, at this point in her life, it shows the slow and steady improvement that a strong Capricorn energy is capable of. She hasn't reached the summit yet--Lindsay is still waiting to hear if there will be consequences for her reported battery of a staff member back on Dec. 12, but the staff member herself is insisting that she doesn't want to press charges.  It seems that the issue will likely be resolved before this highly charged lunation cycle ends--that Lindsay will know for sure the degree to which she will be held responsible (Capricorn) for past (Cancer) events.  Right now though, things are looking good.  Let's hope she hangs on to whatever is firm and secure in her life right now.  Capricorn is about what we want to build in the world, the legacy we will leave for the future, and Cancer is who we want to invite into our intimate lives and homes to partake in the personal experience of all that outward, worldly work.
That takes us to Miss Oprah Winfrey!  The New Moon back on Jan. 4th was loosely conjunct Oprah's North Node/Chiron conjunction in Capricorn in her first house.  As she has done throughout her career, Oprah continues to trust her own instincts, and in a recent interview with Piers Morgan described her career decisions as upholding, to the best of her understanding, a life purpose that is meant to serve the world in some way.  She has taken initiative (1st House), been true to her identity (1st House) and built firm, strong, long-lasting structures (Capricorn) that have been extremely healing both for herself and for the world (Chiron/North Node).  Only 3 days before this New Moon Solar Eclipse (for an image of the Eclipse chart go HERE, then scroll down for an image of Jan. 19th's Full Moon) Oprah launched her Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).  Now if OWN isn't the most Capricorn-sounding acronym I've ever heard, I don't know what is. :)

The eclipse conjunct Oprah's NN/Chiron seems to be indicative of this new project's potential for healing, and it also indicates that it will help Oprah continue to direct herself toward fulfilling her life purpose in this incarnation.  The Network is further highlighted at the Full Moon in Cancer as the Sun conjuncts and the Moon opposes that same NN/Chiron in Capricorn. As we all know, an opposition to the North Node is also a conjunction to the South Node, and in Oprah's case that South Node is in Cancer in the 7th. I like to think of the South Node as a means through which we can draw the support we need to truly fulfill our North Node contracts, so I think Oprah will find herself needing to rely heavily on the support of her closest, most intimate (Cancer) relationships (7th H) with this Full Moon.  That emotional support will be what propels her even further into toward her soul growth.  Eclipse energy can be impactful for up to several months, so I think we'll see OWN really getting a firm foundation under itself in the first half of this year.
