Taking Responsibility with the Cappy Solar Eclipse: Spotlight on Lindsay Lohan

As evidenced by my recent Julian Assange post, I guess I'm having a streak of interest in celebrity "star" gazing because now here I am writing about Lindsay Lohan's experience of the Solar Eclipse in Capricorn. ;) Actually I just happened to see on the news last night that Lindsay was being released from the Betty Ford Center and had created a new website for herself to boot. Well, I thought, it seems like she's taking on a great deal of responsibility today, which seems in keeping with the Solar Eclipse in mature Capricorn that was only hours away, and so I wondered if there was a connection to these changes in Lohan's life and the eclipse itself. Lo and behold, the eclipse opposes her natal Sun in Cancer... among other things. :) I'll talk about this and other new changes going on in Lindsay's life as they relate to the Solar Eclipse on Jan. 4 beneath the following chart image.
Below is an image of Lohan's chart combined with the Solar Eclipse chart, with hers in the inner wheel (without a known birth-time, I used 12PM to construct this chart) and the planets at the time of the Solar Eclipse on the outer wheel of the chart.
In addition to leaving rehab and starting a website endeavor (it's still too soon to know exactly what LindsayLohan.com will entail exactly, but presumably this is a money-making entrepreneurial move), it's helpful to know that when Lohan moved out of rehab, she moved directly into the neighborhood shared by her ex girlfriend, Samantha Ronson. Hollywood.tv has a clip of the move-in and Samantha Ronson's reaction to it, in which she says to the paparazzi, "Trust me, it wasn't planned." I won't over-analyze this statement, but it does seem to indicate that not all of Lohan's choices right now are emotionally healthy ones, and I will take this information into account when discussing her chart.
Like I said before, you can see right away that the eclipse opposes Lindsay's natal Sun in Cancer. Since we don't have a birth-time for Lindsay, it's impossible to know which house of her chart might be activated, but we do know that the Capricorn/Cancer axis will be especially highlighted for her over the next few months (as it will be for all of us) and that for Lindsay it will be especially highlighted as her natal Sun is aspected by the eclipse.
The Capricorn/Cancer axis asks us to find a balance between being nurtured in the home (by family and those closest to us emotionally) and taking the responsibility of caring for ourselves. A friend of mine (who is in her early twenties) had last year's Solar Eclipse in Capricorn directly on her natal Sun and in the week afterward she lost her mother and officially began her first romantic relationship. Both of those forced her to take responsibility for her life and to act maturely. She also had to learn to what degree it was fair to rely on her others to support her through her mother's death and to what extent she had to do the work herself. She chose to take responsibility, emotionally and financially. Lindsay will have to choose to do the same.
Additionally, Lindsay has three planets aspecting her Sun by bi-quintile while squaring each other (these are Venus in Scorpio and the Chiron/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius). Venus in Scorpio highlights Lindsay's emotional urges to move in next to her ex, Samantha Ronson. Scorpio has difficulty at times recognizing proper boundaries. With Venus involved the intention is loving and friendly, but Scorpio energy can be obsessive and addictive. Lindsay might be trading an addiction to drugs for a renewal of her addiction to love, or there seems to at least be an urge in that direction. Venus in Scorpio squares Neptune/Chiron, which is a very healing energy, so her tendencies toward emotional addiction are an obstacle to her ability to heal herself compassionately. And then both of these planets bi-quintile her Sun. The bi-quintile is a minor aspect (not Ptolemaic), so many astrologers do not pay much attention to it (including me) but in the way these two bi-quintiles point to Lindsay's Sun seem significant, especially with the eclipse already in opposition to her Sun.
It is interesting to see that transiting Saturn at the time of this Saturnine Capricorn eclipse is making a trine to Lindsay's natal Chiron in Gemini. This does indicate that Lindsay has access to the maturity and stability she needs to take on for herself in order to heal properly, but she will have to take advantage of that Saturn energy in order to make progress. Healing is a long and difficult process, and nothing will change overnight.
"Nothing changing overnight" also includes the media frenzy around Lohan, and this is indicated here with transiting Mercury conjuncting Lohan's Uranus and opposing her Chiron. This attention will negatively impact Lohan's ability to heal herself or have a healing affect on others, but drawing on the stabilizing and grounding energy of Saturn will greatly support her.
